I didn’t plan to write about things I don’t like on here, or talk negatively about anyone, but due to our recent problems with Living Earth (NO delivery of goods & no one replying to 9 emails or 5 phone calls) who are also trading under the name Un-Ethical Juicers, or 3rd alias go-gethealthy.co.uk we need to strike James off our Xmas card list. He is also the man behind Winter Sun Retreats in Ibiza, who did not pay their staff last season – 2nd hand news I admit & gossip ain’t good – but this is not the 1st time I’ve had problems with him – it’s very boring, dull & godamn tedious. I have much nicer things to do with my time so Beware…. This posting deserves no doodle.

I bought a wonderful NewGena blender from the lovely people at http://www.rawliving.co.uk/ 11 months ago. Sadly, the grey plastic knob on the front broke 2 months ago and so I asked rawliving what I should do about it. Well, the unit was supplied to them from (guess who??) – James at (Un)Ethical Juicers! He promised them I would get a new knob posted to me (this was 4 weeks ago). I still don’t have it. Kate at rawliving is kindly refunding me the money since James won’t get his act together (I believe that she’s exasperated too!), and she’s asking James to collect my old blender from my home. I bet he never bothers … and all I needed to fix it was a little grey plastic knob!!!
Life is to short to have companies such as (Un)Ethical Juicers wasting our time and I will never deal with James again in any capacity whatsoever.
Beware!

I would like to add to the complaints concerning un-Ethical juicers. In Nov 2005 I bought a Newgena blender with a 10 year guarantee. The blender worked well until Oct 2007 when the motor failed. I contacted them via email, phone and letter, to eventually be informed that they were contacting the company as Newgena was such a good blender. Four weeks passed and nothing happened, I again wrote threatening legal action, and a very confused lady rang in reply. Again nothing happened, and on recommendation from my local consumer advice office I posted the blender back to them. This was now Nov/Dec 2007, and nothing was happening. In January 2008 I was advised to contact Fair Trading Standards Agency, and the Essex representative tried to make contact with un-Ethical Juicers. This took her some time. Eventually she was informed that un-Ethical Juicers had tried to contact me, which they had not. Then upon contacting them again she was informed that they were waiting for a part. This has brought us up to 27.2.08, I wonder how much longer it will take?
The company trading as Ethical Juicers clearly are not ethical, and need to be thoroughly investigated.

Oh no. I wish I’d seen this earlier. I ordered a Compact juicer from them 10 days ago. It said on their website that it would be delivered the next day by overnight courier. It’s now been 10 days and no juicer has arrived. I’ve left about numerous phone messages, sent various emails, and even a fax, and nobody has replied. I guess I’ll have to get a lawyer onto it. . .

One further note: on the ethical juicers website, in the “About us” section they mention that they are a “are a GS1 UK Member”. In actual fact all this means is that GS1 provided their bar codes. They pitch this association in a way that leads the buyer to believe that their purchase is more safe, but in actual fact the relationship has no value to the consumer in this respect.

Hi,
Just an update that I have been having similar problems with them with a Newgena Blender and an EasyGreen Sprouter.
I got nowhere with Trading Standards either.
I’ve noticed they have changed their name and website again recently to EverTop Health
So Beware.
I rang around a couple of other retailers to get some information on them and nobody had a good word to say about un-Ethical Juicers. Apparenlty, it is not just us consumers who have been ripped off by them.

We also had problems with this company. We bought the NewGena, a year or so later motor blew and they never returned calls. It took almost 4 months to repair and now it only works if the timer is on, and it keeps rusting and not matter how much we clean and oil it, our smoothies taste of rust. I can’t be bothered to deal with this company anymore, they are scam artists.
The blender is absolute rubbish as well. I totally regret not getting a reputable brand like VitaMix or BlenderTec from a reputable company. Shame on you ethical juicers, or whatever it is you call yourselves these days.

Living Earth ceased trading in 2008. If you have any difficulty with a product I welcome you to call me on 0845 330 6781 – the original company phone number – I keep this number redirected to wherever I am working. I will do my best to assist by way of advice or repair where possible.
Please note that Evertop Health (my current employer) is not ‘a new guise’. Evertop do not sell blenders, their primary business is commercial exercise machines. If you ring them directly you may not reach me, and certainly they will not be able to help.
I am simply doing my best to help out former customers of Living Earth/Ethical Juicers.

Having been a guest at winter sun retreats ran by James summers & his girlfriend Anna leonard in 2006/7, perhaps its also good to be aware that they ALSO didnt pay their staff in Lanzarote either!! Doesn’t seem these people are trustworthy in any sense. Too much in the mind & the money!
