1 week in New York = daily: green juices, Jivamukti yoga (thank you Donna); immaculate NSA with David Mehler + Lora’s apartment all to myself (THANK YOU Lora) – plotting, planning & preparing for the movie! Seriously, all the party this girl needs is a colonic with double wheatgrass chaser in Union Square’s sun drenched farmer’s market & I’m teeth-tingling & cheek-vibrating Happy.
Being back home here – threading together my old life/friends and new has been the best launch pad for the next chapter I could have wished for. So many incredible things are unfolding I feel downright rude not to have trusted more. Thank you all for the extra-ordinarily enthusiastic encouragement I’ve received. It’s taken a while to catch up on sleep & the shock of a life left behind – but it’s soo much easier to be gone, than to be leaving.
Needless to say, I’ve sauntered the streets of Manhattan sampling as much raw fare as socially acceptable – Quintessence (thank you Brackenbury for my leaving-present dinner), Pure Food and Wine, LifeThyme, Integral Yoga, Liquiteria, Sal Anthony’s, High Vibe, Wholefoods, Bonobos, Westerlys, Earth Matters, Organic Avenue, Live Live, Jubbs Longevity – enjoying mainly juices [and a little chocolate sampling] – my desire to visit every possible store and fondle things has not abated: easily pleased!!
B&H cameras has been visited – gadget lust well & truly satiated (thanks to Ben) – next stop Colorado ✖

You should also check out Caravan of Dreams on 6th St. & 1st Ave., then I think you’ll have gotten every single one in the area.
It’s funny that I’ve lived 35-40 minutes from the city (in Long Island) for the last 11 years (last 5 months raw), and you’ve been here for one week, and you’ve been to more raw-friendly spots than I have. I should definitely be more of an explorer haha

Hey Ankit
I used to eat at Caravan alot in my beans and guacamole days, but the service & chairs leave me less than enraptured so i gave it a miss this time.. I like to walk alot – so it’s easy to cover ground!
I didn’t make it up to Raw Soul – the pizza is definitely something I’ll be having next time
