My first introduction to Sedona was through Matt Monarch’s Raw Food TV Spot video from Raw Spirit Festival 2 years ago. His voice – “Can you feel the energy? It just downpours on you. Wooo!” rings in my ears as I drive around this incredible town & find myself again in the vortex that is New Frontiers’ juice bar each morning. Morri took me on a helicopter ride over Sedona – my pilot’s license is the next thing on my wish list! The English have returned to England after the most amazing festival EVER & now my solo adventure truly unrolls.. Raw Spirit Festival this year was a little like getting married – without the ceremony or honeymoon. Everyone had been planning & building excitement for a year & then we all got to play together for 4 days straight – all together in one big raw love music inspired cacao fueled sun drenched vortex – doesn’t get much better than that! Sedona, due to the rocks & vortex effects has a way of spinning you out, bringing ’stuff’ up & realigning you for potential changes – of all flavo(u)rs..

How to begin the describe the festival? My very smart, sassy & fabulous Booty-Rooting compadre Shea Lynn Baird seriously rocked our double-handed talk! I hereby declare I lay down the mike & stay this side of the lenses: Gabrielle Brick, Frank Giglio & Melissa Mango gave the best food demos (ever); Cosmo, Bruce & Melissa worked magic in the kitchen; Sacred Steve had me mainlining his Amazonian Chocolate; Richard Synergy Chef can put ANYTHING in my mouth & I’ll be happy; Jah Levi – words cannot do justice to my experience of his presence and his music – again the highlight of the weekend. Oh, except when Fun Yung Moon threw my name in a rap – that had me squealing with glee! Elijah & Shimshai – so much beauty in music – THANK YOU all. Sunny HoneyBee did not sit still long enough to get a chance to absorb much new information (other than for Kris Carr – amazing) – photographic results coming very soon.

And I got to meet Bunny Berry. I love Bunny. I’m going to go stay in the gRitz & hang out with her! Next year’s festival is in May, in Santa Barbara – Happy Oasis works her magic once again..
